training today, a week after they downed tools, in protest over unpaid bonuses and signing-on fees.
DeMbare patron, Webster Shamu, who is the Minister of Media, Information and Publicity, intervened yesterday and addressed the players.
Although details of the meeting were sketchy last night, it is believed that the club received US$20 000 to cover some of their debts.
DeMbare have been trapped in huge debts with the Glamour Boys failing to service debts owed to players and other service providers.
Dynamos won the league and cup double last year but the players did not receive a bonus for finally ending four years of waiting to land the biggest prize on the domestic football scene.
The issue had strained relations between the players and the management and, on Tuesday, the players decided that they could not take it any more and refused to train.
Club chairman, Kenny Mubaiwa, who revealed this week that they have been working relentlessly to secure funds, also addressed the players, who agreed to come back to work today.
“The players were happy with the development,” said the sources.
“Now everyone is expected at training tomorrow (today) and it’s back to business as usual.”
Head coach Callisto Pasuwa and lieutenants Tonderai Ndiraya and Tichaona Diya were not available for the team this week as they were attending a course arranged by the Premier Soccer League.
The Dynamos players had been promised to get their outstanding dues by month-end but the management could not secure the funds, leading to the industrial action.
DeMbare are preparing for the Champions League this season and have set their sights on retaining the Castle Lager Premiership title they won last year.
