DYNAMOS assistant coach Tichaona Diya still believes they can win the Premiership title and will even carry their champagne bottles to Rufaro tomorrow when they clash with Black Mambas. It is difficult this time around for DeMbare as in the past seasons they have been in the driving seat going into the last match but now they have to pray for a Harare City defeat or draw at the hands of bitter rivals CAPS United.

They also have to win against a Black Mambas side fighting relegation, which will not be an easy thing.
The Glamour Boys are also likely to miss their influential defender Partson Jaure who returned from national duty in Tanzania suffering from a bout of malaria. The defender didn’t train with the team this week since his return and the technical team yesterday said the team doctors were going to check on him.

But Ocean Mushure, who was also with Warriors, joined the rest of the team in training yesterday morning. Yesterday, Diya said they were concerned about the threat posed by Black Mambas but they had a job that needed to be done.

“We have been telling the boys to concentrate on our game and pick three points on Sunday and whether that happens or not we just leave everything to God,” said Diya.

“But we are just looking forward to win our last game. It is not an easy game and would be a tough match as they are faced with relegation and at the same time we have to win this game. The chances are 50-50 for both teams but we are confident. We also have an advantage in that we haven’t lost a match to them even though it is a new game altogether.”

The assistant coach called for Fair Play from their rivals CAPS United and Harare City. He said they were expecting their rivals to do them a huge favour by treating the encounter seriously and going all out for a victory. “We are not saying Harare City are not capable of winning but we just want them to win it fairly and there should be Fair Play. We believe CAPS United are professional enough. They said they want to finish in Top Four which will see them playing in tournaments such as the Charity Shield.

“These are tournaments that help teams as the season begins so we believe they really know the importance of winning this match and that it will give it their best shot. CAPS United, also, haven’t finished in a position like that in a long time and we just hope they are considering all those factors.

“There are still 90 minutes remaining and we are also not ruling out Highlanders as anything can happen. We still believe we can still make it. We are prepared to celebrate. We have our champagne bottles, we are ready for everything and we hope we will pop them on Sunday,” said Diya.

While the champions are gunning for a win, Black Mambas are also looking at biting the Glamour Boys and easing their relegation worries without looking at other teams.

Black Mambas coach John “Toto” Ncube was bullish that his charges would deliver and would not be relegated.
“Black Rhinos are in a dangerous position than us but anything can happen in their game against Monomotapa. So we are not looking at what other teams will do but we have to win on our own and make sure that we are safe. If other teams in the relegation zone drop points let it be a bonus but we have to do the job on our own by beating Dynamos.

We know Dynamos want to win the league and have to win this game as well. But we also want to survive so it would be really a tough match.

“We have never beaten them before but there is always a first time for everything. We are fully prepared for this game,” said Ncube.
In Bulawayo, Highlanders plunge into their final league match against Shabanie Mine, who also have their relegation woes to deal with, needing a victory that could give them the league championship should results elsewhere go their way.

Bosso head coach, kelvin Kaindu, returns to the bench for this crucial game after missing his team’s 0-4 humiliating loss at the hands of Harare City last Sunday.

Bosso have dropped five points, winning just a point out of six, in their last two visits to the capital without the leadership of Kaindu.
The Zambian has been criticised for his schedule of examinations, which has run into conflict with the club’s cause in their quest to win both the League and Cup double, with Zimbabwe football legend, Moses Chunga, telling the popular H-Metro tabloid this week that Kaindu was mocking the domestic Premiership.

His return is likely to energise his team, deflated by that loss at the hands of Harare City, where stand-in coach, Bekhi Ncube said he would have substituted all his players if he was allowed to do so by the rules.

The last game that Bosso played at home, in the league, torched a lot of controversy when 16 minutes of time added on were played by referee Bekezela Makeka while triangle had two players, their captain and their ‘keeper, sent off. But what matters now is just for Bosso to win this match, against Shabanie, and hope that results elsewhere will play in their favour.
