CORRECTIONAL Queens are hoping to become the first team to hand pacesetters Herentals their first defeat in the league.

The two teams clash tomorrow morning in a Zimbabwe Women’s Football League encounter at Hellenic Sports Club.

Correctional Queen’s coach Choice Dambuza believes if her troops put maximum effort in the tie they will beat the Students.

“We have been working very hard preparing for this match. If we put maximum effort maybe we would be able to beat them,” said Dambuza.

The Prisons and Correctional Services team lost 1-0 to Herentals in the first round match.

But Dambuza is not looking at that history ahead of the encounter.

Correctional Queens are buoyed by last weekend’s victory against in-form Harare City Queens.

Correctional Queens beat the council side 2-1 with Marjoury Nyaumwe and Theresa Kadungwe scoring for the prison side.

Elsewhere, Harare City Queens will travel to Mutare for a match against Faith Drive Academy at Nyamauru Ground while MSU Queens host Scorpion Queens at Wilson Fields in Gweru. Yadah Queens host Mutare City Rovers Queens at Yadah Grounds.
