COOL RELOADED: Honeymoon is over

MOUNTIE-2With Swagga T
Greetings to you all, the Happy New Year mood is coming to an end for now as the new buzz will be back to school. We are all excited about the first term, and to some it would be the first day at a new school, new friends and new teachers.

Let us wait and see how it goes. Sorry to say that we should say goodbye to those weird and trendy hairstyles because it is school time.

Our holiday hairdo award goes to the ‘lil’ tint style’ that we have seen many teenagers sporting. The style was a hit from local to international teenville celebrity.

Still on that note we congratulate our boy Justin Bieber for being the new face of Calvin Klein. Good that his muscle now pays.

However the rains are here and hopefully we also ready for it. In fact we don’t want to hear stories that you have drowned or what because we already have warned you.

Please when it is raining heavily stay indoors and avoid crossing bridges or playing in the water as not only you can drawn but you can still get sick.

Let us check our reloaded of the week

Quick back to school lunch tips to packing a healthy meal

1. Pack fruit: the go-to can be a banana, an orange or an apple. If you slice the apple, dunk it in pineapple or lemon juice to keep it from going brown. Applesauce is good to go, too.

2. Pick a protein: cheese sticks, a cheese round, hard boiled egg, lunch meat with a spread of cream cheese in it or folded into a sandwich or a Tupperware full of refried beans or pistachios. A frozen tube of organic yogurt or yogurt not packed with artificial growth hormones and dyes is good, too, as it can also serve as a cold pack.

3. Grab a Green: some are good with this, others tend to shy from it, but stay the course! One might throw some lettuce into a Tupperware or some roasted veggies from the night before into one. Others might choose sliced up cucumbers, carrots or peppers to do the trick. To save money, choose the big versions of veggies and cut them or dice them up..

Moderation is key. Not all meals are going to be perfect, so don’t make “the perfect” the enemy of “the good.” It’s about balance.

Twinsaver device

We can call it the “Mountie Clips” that can help your mobile device to your laptop screen for uninterrupted distractions.

Sometimes, whatever’s in front of the computer screen requires your complete attention. Other times, you prefer having something to distract you from the confounding mess of code you’re trying to debug. That’s when the Mountie comes in handy. Created by Ten One Design, it’s a clip that you can use to mount a tablet or a smartphone right next to your computer display.

That way, you can switch your attention between the giant spreadsheets you’re trying to reconcile and funny videos of guys falling off in wacky accidents to keep your sanity intact. Awesome. Mountie uses rubber grips to attach itself to both laptop’s display and a mobile device, keeping them on the same level for your viewing pleasure. It’s designed for Apple products and comes with swappable grips for specific devices.

If you’re not that invested in the Apple ecosystem, it’s not entirely unusable, since the grips can clamp onto any product with similar dimensions to the supported Apple devices. Good news they are affordable as they cost only US$25 each.
