THIS year’s champions for the Bob 93 basketball tournament, Harare City Hornets, have attributed their victory to team work.

The tournament, held over the weekend, was part of the Bob Sports Festival held to celebrate the life of President Mugabe.

Hornets beat Foxes 59-52 at Richwood to retain the title they won last year and coach Langton Moyo said they played as a team.

They had prevailed 43-41 against JBC in the semi-final.

“We had pretty close games this time. We were playing probably the second and third best teams in the country based on current form.”

The women’s title went to Raiderz who beat Hustlerz 42-33. They had earlier on beaten FML 43-25 in the last four. Prince Edward dismissed Churchill 22-5 while Girls High beat Dzivarasekwa 1 38-17 in the girls section.
