DYNAMOS development and Under-20 coach Lloyd “Mablanyo” Chigowe is satisfied with the nature of talent at his disposal after the team had their last practice match against Banket United at Kuwadzana Stadium last Saturday.

Dynamos Under-20 plays in the ZIFA Harare Province Division Two B League while Banket United plays in ZIFA Northern Region Division One League.

Chigowe, whose side restricted the host to a 1-1 draw, said he is happy with the progress the players are making and is confident that they will have some players to look forward to in the near future.

“I am very happy with the calibre of players who we have at the development side and I believe we have a good cushion for the senior side. The players have a lot of potential and they are showing signs of improvements in every outing. We are reverting back to basics where we need players with the team at heart and having players who have the Dynamos culture will give us some committed youngsters.

“The players played well and I am grateful of the support we are getting from the sponsors and the executive who have stood by us throughout,’’ said Chigowe, who has seen a lot of players passing through his hands.

“We have a lot of talented players who I think will do well if given full support and exposure. We need to have some players who come from the development sides as they will play for the team whole heartedly.

“I am happy with the support from the head coach (Herbert ‘Jompano’ Maruwa, who has travelled all the way to support us and that helps the team,” added Chigowe.

Maruwa, the Dynamos head coach, said he is happy with the work and progress the development side is making and they will always have an eye on the progress of the youngsters.

“We are happy with the way the development side is progressing and in future we will consider to have players from there. Playing in the ZIFA Division Two B gives them the much-needed exposure and I hope we will always have players from that side.

“Dynamos, as a big institution, we need such structures where we have a sound developmental side that will work as a feeder to the senior side. There is a lot of potential within these young players and they need our support,” said Maruwa.
