SHABANIE Mine captain Farai Mupasiri has warned CAPS United they will struggle to come out of Maglas with a victory in their Chibuku Super Cup quarter-final showdown tomorrow. CAPS United are still to win at Maglas since 2006.

“We are playing well and do not write us off. We are not easy to beat, we defied all odds when we went to beat ZPC Kariba and we are playing good football. After losing our league match to Tsholotsho we started playing good football. We went to Chapungu and we were down to ten men down but we managed to pull off a result. We held Dynamos and we beat Bantu and I feel it’s going to be a very big task for any team to beat us, whether home or away,” said Mupasiri.

He nearly joined CAPS United at the beginning of the season but was deemed excess to requirements by the Green Machine. Mupasiri is now a star in this community.

‘’I will play my normal game and try and carry my other teammates forward. CAPS are a team I wanted to join and I know what to expect from them. CAPS United have picked up form and did well in the Champions League but there has to be a winner after we shared the spoils in all our league matches. Our fans are amazing, there are loyal,’’ he said. Shabanie technical adviser Taku Shariwa said they were not afraid of the league champions.

“We do not fear CAPS United but we respect them. I am very confident and I believe in my players. We are also hungry for success as coaches. I respect Lloyd Chitembwe very much. He is from my neighbourhood. He has developed into a big coach by winning the championship and taking CAPS United into the Champions League group stage, a feat still to be achieved by any other coach at CAPS.,’’ he said
