Burna Boy expected today for Pablo’z gig

Nigerian artiste Burna Boy is expected to jet in today around 12 noon ahead of his show at Sam Levy’ Village in Borrowdale tomorrow. The ‘Abeg-Abeg-Abeg’ hit-maker will perform at the grand opening of new hangout, Pablo’z.

The show is hosted by Eventworx, an entertainment and events company established in Harare for the past three years. According to one of show organiser, Lyndon Kapuya, everything was going according to plan by yesterday afternoon.

“We are delighted to host Burna Boy and Crazy White Boy – a group from South Africa as our guest performers this weekend.

“The Nigerian chanter is arriving tomorrow (today) in the afternoon and fans can come and greet him. We are not new in the business as we have staged and hosted several very successful shows and events since our inception.

“We had the likes of Mafikizolo and Loyiso concerts. We have hosted Spinfests and many acts including, DJ Cndo and Lady Cream, Pascal and Pearce, DJ Dino Bravo and many others. We are currently in the final stages of renovations to our flagship establishment Pablo’z Club and VIP, “ said Kapuya.

He said Burna Boy will also be supported by local acts .

“Despite having South African outfit Crazy White Boy, headlining tomorrow’s (today) pre-party, Burna Boy will be supported by some local acts who include Tehn Diamond and DJ Naida who is known for her thrilling mixes,” he said.

The new hangout now comprises three sections – Pablo’z Club, Pablo’z VIP and Pabloz VVIP.

Pablo’z Club has state of the art sound and lighting in a modern setting while Pablo’z VIP is an exceptionally beautiful cocktail lounge with plenty of comfortable seating, a modern bar, classy decor and stage for live performances in an ambient cool environment designed for unwinding and total relaxation.

Pablo’z VVIP is due to open next month and will be a private, plush and exclusive executive lounge with all the very best high end liquors, cigars and exquisite gourmet dining experience.

Burna Boy is expected to stir things up this weekend with lots of fun and give-aways for discerning revellers and music lovers.

For those not in the know, he has a couple of hit songs including “Trumpet” featuring Davido but the song that brought his first fame was “Abeg Abeg Abeg” before the big hit “Like to Party” which had an amazing video.

His songs span from ballads full of depth, sometimes to controversial subject matter as well as his dancehall tendency implies, songs that are just meant to get you in the mood for the groove.
