FIRST half goals from either side were enough as Triangle and Bulawayo City shared the spoils in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Gibbo yesterday.

Triangle were the first to open the scoring through Dzingai Chirambamuriwo who scored on his debut since breaking into the first team at the start of the season.

Chirambamuriwo, who is known as “Dzingo” by the home fans, benefited from quick exchanges between Courage Denias and Simba Makoni to curl home his left-footer in the 15th minute. The home side could have added to their tally in the 28th minute but Guthrie Zhokinyi’s left footed chip from five yards out came off the post with the visitors’ goal-minder Liberty Chirava a well beaten man. Bulawayo City head coach Philani Ncube later on made his first substitution, introducing Makhosi Ncube for Proud Zireni in the 33rd minute, and the decision paid dividends two minutes later.

Ronald Mudimu handled outside the box to deny the visitors a goal scoring opportunity. The visitors, however, equalised from the resultant free-kick through Lewis Ncube beat Mudimu hands down.

Makoni missed a glorious chance to put Triangle ahead as he shot direct with only keeper to beat deep in the first half injury time in a one on one situation before Ncube charged toward the referee after half-time whistle.
