Orchestra Dendera Kings frontman Suluman Chimbetu recently bought his uncle Allan a new car proving that there was no bad blood between the two. Suluman, or just Sulu to his fans, launched his fifth album “Gunship” in Harare where Allan highly recommended the album.

In an interview with The Herald Entertainment, Sulu said there was nothing peculiar with him buying a car for Allan since he is his father. “Baba ndibaba, hapana chinofa chakachinja, ndibaba vangu ende ndozvazviri (he is my father and nothing will ever change that),” he said.

Allan would not be drawn into discussing the gift.

Family members who spoke to The Herald Entertainment expressed gratitude towards Sulu’s gesture saying it was what they have always wanted as a family.

“We are so happy with what Mukoma Sulu has done.

“Buying a car for Babamunini Allan is a good thing and I am sure that this will go a long way in proving to the nation that as Chimbetus we are united.

“We know where we are coming from, we are so excited,” said Memory Chimbetu, Sulu’s sister.

Allan, who believes he is a star and still has what it takes to warrant respect as one of the top most musicians in the cut-throat music industry, has apparently been playing second fiddle to nephew Sulu as well as his own son, Douglas.

He has been seen travelling in commuter omnibuses or taxis but that is now a thing of the past as he now has his own Mercedes-Benz.

Also, Allan promises new projects in the following months as he is working on a new album.
