ZIMBABWE’S Sunshine Tour campaigner, Greg Bentley, powered to his best finish in the Big Easy Tour when he finished second at Houghton Golf Club in Johannesburg, South Africa, yesterday.

The former Borrowdale Brooke professional had a good opening round of three-under-par 69 before firing a two-over 74 to fto finish as runner-up to Kevin Rundle.

Ruddle, who had a slow start with a two-over 74 on the first day, fired a brilliant seven-under-par 65 yesterday.

The second place finish is Bentley’s best placing so far in the Big Easy Tour where he is competing regularly and he pocketed R11 500.

Steven Ferreira finished in 12th place after rounds of 70 and 76

On the local circuit, Kieran Vincent won the Chapman Grandslam at the weekend.

Vincent was playing off two handicap and took the title from United States-based Ben Follet-Smith.

Vincent had rounds of 72, 70 and 77.

Jack Allard was the runner-up after he carded 75, 74 and 71 for a total 220.

Follet-Smith finished third.

Pre-tournament favourite, Stuart Krog, finished fourth after rounds of 72, 73 and 75.
