Urban grooves singer Peace Ndlovu popularly known as BaShupi has come up with a solo track which samples 20 popular songs by Zimbabwean musicians.
The song which he christened “Vaimbi VemuZimbabwe” samples snippets from popular local hits.
It consists of songs such as “Chitekete” by the late Leonard Dembo, “Murambinda” by Paul Mpofu, “Moses” by Mechanic Manyeruke, “Character” by Prince Tendai and even “Ndini Uya Uya” by Soul Jah Love.

In an interview with The Herald Entertainment the “Mamonya” singer said his song shows appreciation to all the musicians who came before him as well as those who are still doing great during his time.

“I have not recorded this song yet because I want to finalise with copyright owners of the songs. Once they agree l will go into the studio. This track is an appreciation to all the local musicians who did and are still doing well in the music industry,” he said.

The “Vaimbi VeMuZimbabwe” song which he sampled on Wednesday afternoon at the Harare International Festival of the Arts ( proved a hit among his fans who attended the show.

Being his second time at the on-going Hifa, BaShupi gave a polished act at First Street Mall where he entertained the crowds with energetic dances.
Other songs he belted out include “My Chocolate”, “Tezvara Varamba”, “Vane Mari”, “Godo”,“Mamonya” which fans were singing along to.

BaShupi was recently appointed ambassador of Zvandiri National Advocacy.
