Locally owned ICT solutions provider, Axis Solutions, yesterday launched a new fiscal solution that adapts to multiple form factors, from mobile devices, laptops and desktops used in both receipting and invoicing transactions.

The innovation, dubbed RevMax (short for Revenue Maximisation) is expected to improve efficiencies for companies that experience extreme delays by using the traditional fiscal devices.

The technology was designed to be functional even in an offline mode, thereby increasing uptime for operations even when the network is down and RevMax will send the invoices and Z report once the network is up.

While presenting at the launch, Axis Solutions client support technician Tafadzwa Chihota, said Rev Max processes 30  000 invoices in an hour, at an average of 500 invoices per minute. “With RevMax the speeds are higher than any fiscal solution in the country, slow is the new down, a few seconds lost is money lost,” said Mr Chihota.

With 7GB storage, which can store up to 2 million invoices, RevMax comes with a larger fiscal memory than the previous fiscal devices allowing more invoices to be stored on the device. The solution comes with minimal costs considering as it requires no spare parts owing to the make which has absolutely no moving parts. “Other fiscal devices require spares replacement every now and again, but with RevMax, there are no moving parts and no spares,” he added.

Giving a customer testimonial, an OK Zimbabwe official said the company has been using RevMax since September at its Julius Nyerere, OK First Street and Kuwadzana Express branches. The retail giant said it adopted the same technology for its Mutare branch after a facelift last week.

“At all these points we have not experienced any problems with RevMax,” he said, adding RevMax costs half the price of the traditional fiscal devices. Developed internally by the company, the portable RevMax is 90 percent software and 10 percent hardware thus providing the capacity speedy processing of transactions.

The new solution also boasts of timeous uploads of Day End (Z Reports) to the Zimra server automatically.

RevMax has been designed to suit the two environments that is Receipting and Invoicing environments. The event was attended by Zimra, Ministry of Finance and ZimTrade officials.
