Afro Jazz crooner Alexio Kawara’s show at Bar Rouge tomorrow will be an interactive affair with his fans, the musician has said.

He said the show will be a one-on-one event where fans will determine the play-list.

Kawara is currently working on a new album, which carries the single “Nehana” that was released early this year.

In an interview, the “Shaina” hitmaker said his fans have stood by him for more than a decade that he has been in the music industry so the show will be their special event.

“I feel I have fans who are so loyal to me and my music and it is because of them that I am still in the industry and still going strong. I have decided to dedicate the Saturday show to them and I will be focusing more on interaction, having a one-on-one with them since I feel I owe them,” he said.

He added that beyond the interaction he will play a number of his old hits and then introduce the new ones which are on his upcoming album “Oyi”.

“I have a lot in store for my fans in terms of performance. I will perform my old hits including those from the urban grooves era and the new ones which are from my upcoming album ‘Oyi’. These include the new single ‘Nehana’, ‘Chakaipa’ the one that features Roki among others,” he said.

Veterans of Zimbabwe’s jazz scene, Jabavu Drive are also going to perform alongside Kawara

Bar Rouge entertainment manager Sheba Motsi said they are looking forward to a successful show.

“Alexio is a seasoned Afro Jazz artist who never disappoints whenever he goes on stage so we are looking forward to a great day filled with fun since our joint attracts jazz lovers and Alexio is one of their best,” she said.
