 VFEX Direct is an online and mobile trading platform of the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX) specifically designed for retail investors. This service was launched on September 1, 2022 and provides retail investors with an easy and convenient way to buy and sell securities listed on VFEX. Trading and returns on VFEX are in United States Dollars (USD), therefore, one’s portfolio is in hard currency on VFEX.

How to get started

The minimum initial investment on VFEX Direct is USD$10, and one can register through the web portal (www.vfexdirect.vfex.exchange) or by downloading the mobile application available on Android and IOS.

Opening an account on VFEX Direct

The following are prerequisites for an investor to open a VFEX Direct account;

Must be at least 18 years of age, must possess a National ID or a valid passport. (Drivers license is not an acceptable proof of identity), must have proof of residence that clearly states the registered name as it appears on the National ID and the address provided by the individual. Acceptable proof of residence include;

Utility bill at most 3 months, bank statement of at least 3 months (stamped by the bank), affidavit from landlord, lease agreement, letter from employer, letter from councilor /village head, a valid email address and phone number, an FCA (nostro) bank account with any of the commercial banks registered in Zimbabwe

How to register on VFEX Direct

To register on VFEX Direct, follow these simple steps;

Visit the VFEX Direct website www.vfexdirect.vfex.exchange ,Click on the login tab, then click on register , Select a broker from the brokers that appear on the drop down menu, Enter your personal details and create a password, Click on submit, a verification email will be sent to your registered email address, Check your email for the verification email including your spam folder and verify your account, thereafter proceed to log in.

Once you login, you will be required to complete the following information;

Input your address, Upload your KYC Documents (Photo, National ID/passport, proof of residence, Input your FCA (nostro) banking details
