THE Zimbabwe Korfball Federation are in a dilemma after being given the green light to participate in the 2020 IKF U-21 World Korfball Championship to be hosted by the Chinese Taipei Korfball Association in Taipei.

The IKF U-21 World Korfball Championship will take place from July 11 – 18 next year.
Zimbabwe are still to respond to the invitation as they need guarantees they will manage to affiliate.
The association, lead by Tarirai Chadebah, got the confirmation letter from The Netherlands-based federation.

Zimbabwe have been warned by the International Korfball Federation chairman (competition committee) Gert Dijkstra that, by responding to the invite, they would have confirmed their availability.
Withdrawing from the tournament, after subscription, can lead to a fine as well as sanctions from the IKF.

Chadebah said they would love to be part of the tournament but funds were limiting them from confirming their participation.

“It will be a great experience for the nation but we are facing financial challenges and time is running out for us,’’ said Chadebah.
