DYNAMOS players and officials yesterday got the lift they needed, ahead of the new season, when they engaged an expert motivational speaker to conduct a special session on personal development and team building.

The Glamour Boys, who have assembled a virtually new look side and with a relatively new leadership, are keen to get started in style. And, tomorrow, they take on CAPS United in a pre-season charity match organised by Passion Events at the National Sports Stadium. Dynamos coach Lloyd Chigowe and his side were confident following the exercise conducted by motivational speaker and author, Ralph Kadurira, of Springtide Morphoos, an organisation that specialises in strategic planning, executive coaching, team building and personal development training.

Kadurira also gave away his audio book “Fighting Ignorance” to the team.

“This Dynamos is virtually a new organisation, made up of people who are strangers to one another since they are coming from different backgrounds.

“The executive has new people, the technical team and the players are also largely new to the institution.

‘’So, it would take time for them to know each other well and form a team that wins things. “This exercise is very important because for them to be effective, each and everyone needs to know himself first and they will be able to work for themselves and others as well as a team.  ‘’This is basically to give the team a good head start,” said Kadurira.

Coach Lloyd Chigove said the game will give him a chance to assess his team’s progress.“The coming in of a new sponsor has relieved a lot of pressure in terms of the expectations from the players,’’ he said. ‘’The onus is now on the boys to win the hearts of the multitudes of the Dynamos supporters.’’

CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe believes he has assembled a stronger squad this season.‘’I am looking forward to the match. It will be a good way to measure ourselves for the upcoming season,’’ said Chitembwe.

‘’We have been building a strong side and we will have an opportunity to try some new combinations, formations as well as tactics. “I believe the side we have this time around is a strong one as it has some young players with speed and precision which we needed in the past season.

“The team needs to improve from last year’s performances and, since I have been employed to get results, I will not look at anything short of that.”
