Paul Mundandi in Zvishavane
THE Shabanie Mine camp is on fire again and so bad is the situation that the team looks set to be relegated on Sunday without even kicking a ball. The team did not train on Monday and yesterday the situation had not improved. Shabanie players are owed winning bonuses for their league victories over Bantu Rovers and Highlanders.

“The situation is very bad. I am running around to get some money and I think we will pay them $125 each tomorrow,” said vice chairman Fidelis Chimedza.
“Last week the club failed to get bus fare for Douglas Sibanda who featured in the Morocco game and I used my money. I also bought food from my pocket.”
Supporters’ chairman Shepard Makazhu blasted some of the team leaders.

“Most of the people in the executive are not voted for, but appointed so they do not care much about football.
“It’s very disappointing because they are letting our community, and the most supported team (in Zvishavane), down.”

One of the players said he was demanding his clearance.
“I want to get my clearance this afternoon. The executive members do not care about us,” said the player.

“We are parents, we have wives and children to cater for. What will I do with $125 during the festive season? I need to pay rent, electricity and water, buy food, seed and all.”

On Monday only three players turned up for training at Maglas.
