$7,8m drug peddler to remain in custody

A suspected drug peddler, who was caught with contraband of cocaine valued at $7,8 million before swallowing 60 plastic balls, will spend the weekend at Remand Prison after a Harare magistrate ordered her to return to court on Monday for plea recording.
Shila Khumalo was charged with unlawful possession of dangerous drugs after she was nabbed at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport with the cocaine.
Regional magistrate Mr Stanford Mambanje presided over the case.
