Zimbabwe’s vaccination programme surpasses the 600 000 mark

A total of 632 496 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 since the start of the vaccination programme in February this year, the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) said.
The country recorded 38 682 confirmed cases, 1 586 deaths and 36 453 recoveries as at May 23.
According to the MoHCC, there are 643 active cases.
The MoHCC further says as at May 23, 2021, a total of 2148 people received their first vaccine doses and 4812 people have received their second dose.
Three new cases, all local, were recorded as at May 23 while there were no deaths.
