As engagement and re-engagement policy pays off, relations between Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom continue to improve for the mutual benefit of all countries.

British Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Peter Vowles paid a courtesy call visit to the Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere committing to strengthen relations between the two nations.

Minister Muswere said the discussions were generally centered on how best the two can work together, cooperate, collaborate, exchange programmes, improve trade volumes among other various things.

“Under the new leadership of President Mnangagwa we believe that we can re-engage and engage any country and that we are a friend to all and an enemy to none,” he said.

Mr Vowles said the past hostility between Zimbabwe and UK has never benefitted either of the two sides hence the need to find each other again for mutual benefit of all.

Zimbabwe and UK are cultivating mutually beneficial cordial relations based on respect and trust as evidenced by the increased cooperation between the two countries.
