“It feels great, to be honoured in a foreign land, and also putting Zimbabwe hip hop on the map” Zimbabwean gospel rapper Brighton Wiseman, better known by his stage name ‘Brythreesixty’ has been nominated for Nigeria’s Top Naija Music Awards after collaborating with Nigerian rapper Lil Dizzle.

They collaborated on a song titled “Shayball” that was released early this year Their song is going for best rap award and online voting process is starting tomorrow. In an interview Wiseman said he is overwhelmed by the nomination saying he has big dreams for his career.

“It feels great, to be honoured in a foreign land, and also putting Zimbabwe hip hop on the map.

“My future plans are to get nominations in bigger international awards and to represent my people through my music and also to spread the gospel through hip hop,” he said.

He was co-founder of the hip-hop independent group Christ hood in the early years of his career with EL Deeper and Scorpel highlighted that his strength and success is attributed to his ability to play around with words.

“I can say my strength is my provocative wordplay and a deeply immersed metaphor that makes my music an all rounder for the youth and even the adults,” he said.

Wiseman who once featured on the show Unsigned Fine on 1 Africa Radio Station (South African) has done collaborations with a number of foreign musicians in an attempt to penetrate the international market.

Having been in the music circles for the past five years, he has released a number of singles including “Hatidzore Tsvimbo” and “Konzeresa”.
