Zim Citizens Forum calls for unity

Zimbabwe Citizens Forum has urged Zimbabweans to unite and carry each other’s burden in fighting the problems that the country has and resuscitate the economy.

Addressing journalists during a Press conference, Zimbabwe Citizens Forum national coordinator Mr Alex Gakanje urged Zimbabweans not to take part in demonstrations because they do not solve anything.

He said people should join hands in building the economy and stop complaining about election results because the election period was over.

“We urge Zimbabweans to desist from being used in the form of demonstrations,” said Mr Gakanje.

“Those demos affect business because the time that shops are closed, it’s a loss to the business. We are no longer in the election season, the elections are over and the winner was declared. The Constitutional Court passed a judgment and the complainant (MDC-Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa) lost the case, they were defeated.

“Instead, we should join hands and solve our problems.”

Mr Gakanje blasted funders of the demonstrations, saying they should rather fund the local councils to improve service delivery.
