Zanu-PF to hold inter-district indabas in Midlands Province Eng Ncube

Zanu-PF is set to hold inter-district meetings in the Midlands Province from today to Friday to update its members on the country’s socio-economic situation.

In an interview yesterday, the party’s Midlands provincial chairman Engineer Daniel McKenzie Ncube said the meetings would be addressed by Politburo members, secretary for Liaison and Economic Affairs Cde Mike Bimha and secretary for Legal Affairs Cde Munyaradzi Paul Mangwana.

“The province will hold its inter-district meetings from Wednesday to Friday and Cdes Bimha and Mangwana will address the meetings,” he said.

“On Wednesday, we will hold a meeting in Nembudziya and Mberengwa, on Thursday we will be in Gokwe South and Zvishavane and on Friday we will be in Zhombe and Shurugwi.

“These meetings will run concurrently and will be addressed by the two Politburo members.”

Eng Ncube said the purpose of the meetings was to brief party supporters about the economic situation obtaining in the country, and to find out from them if the inputs for the Presidential Input Support Scheme were being distributed fairly, without prejudice.

Eng Ncube said the party wanted to asses security threats in the province.

“The meeting is also an opportunity for us as Zanu-PF to assess any security threats in our party,” he said.

“We will also take time to assess businesses that were damaged during the shutdown.

“But as it is, something is being done by the Government to make sure that these people are able to revive their businesses.”
