Zanu PF completes Mashonaland Central office construction

The ruling Zanu PF party in Mashonaland Central province has completed the construction of its provincial offices in Bindura.

Despite being a party stronghold, the province has since the attainment of independence failed to build its own party offices with the Provincial Chairperson Cde Kazembe Kazembe saying that the successful completion has been made possible due to serious commitment as well as donations from party members.

The project was started in 2015 when a committee was set up with Cde Kazembe as the building chairperson, however, it stalled due to political problems that rocked the province during the late Cde Robert Mugabe era.

“The office construction has had false starts for a very long time, way back even before my time in the province, donations and contributions were made but no office was built and since independence, the party has never had an office of its own.

“Between 2016 and 2017 the project stalled due to political instability in the province, however, we vowed to make it a success and donations were sought and channelled towards the office transparently, the office is almost complete with a few outstanding works inside.

“Our wish is to have the office complete by end of this month, this will be historic as it is the first Zanu PF office for Mash Central,” said Cde Kazembe.
