Zanu-PF Mashonaland East provincial chairperson Cde Joel Biggie Matiza says the upgrading of Goromonzi High School, which will host the party’s 18th Annual National People’s Conference, is 70 percent complete.
In an interview yesterday after a meeting involving Zanu-PF’s technical committees and Mashonaland East Provincial Coordinating Committee, Cde Matiza said work was progressing well.
“Most of the things are now in place and we are 70 percent done,” he said. “We are advancing and work is progressing as far as upgrading the venue to the party’s expectations is concerned.
“Preparations for the annual conference will be done in record time. Preparatory work is ongoing and we are very optimistic that we will host this conference without any hitches.
“The provincial technical team is very busy right now trying to put things in place. We are finalising on painting of facilities so that we do not leave the venue in a mess.”
