THE Zimbabwe Under-20 football team will meet hosts Mozambique in the group stages of the TotalEnergies CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations 2025/COSAFA Qualifier

following the draw held in Maputo on Thursday morning.

The Young Warriors, who are returning to the event after a two-year hiatus, will also play Botswana and Eswatini in Group A.

The tournament will be played in Maputo from September 26 to October 5, with the two finalists advancing to the continental finals next year.

COSAFA held draws for three youths’ tournaments that also include the TotalEnergies CAF Under-17 AFCON 2025 / COSAFA Qualifier as well as the 2024 COSAFA Women’s

Under-17 Championship, which will also both be in Maputo from December 5 to 14.

Zimbabwe Under-17 men were placed in Group B, which also has Zambia, Namibia and Eswatini.

Once again, only the top team in each pool advances to the semifinals along with the best-placed runner-up across the three groups.

The Young Mighty Warriors are in Group C with Zambia, Botswana and Mauritius. The top team in each pool and the best placed runners-up advance to the last four.
