Peter Moyo will tonight return to one of his favourite hunting grounds when he performs at Club Iridium in the city centre. The Young Igwe, as the musician is popularly known, last performed at the venue when it was known as Jazz 24 /7. His shows at the place have always been fantastic and he should be looking forward to another good event tonight. The musician said he is happy to return to the venue to be associated with its new brand.

“We are going to Iridium to do what we know best. The venue is one of our favourite places and we know our fans will come in huge numbers. I launched my latest album at the venue and it was a blessing because the album is doing well,” said Young Igwe.

With his Utakataka Express, Peter has been consistent in holding shows and he is fighting hard to maintain the brand that his late father Tongai left. He stages shows every weekend and he has vowed to continue working hard until he reaches his father’s level.

“It is not easy to reach my father’s level because I am a different person. In fact, I want people to take me as Peter and not expect to see Tongai in me because he had his own capabilities. What I can work hard for is to reach the level of popularity that he reached. We always work hard.”

Club Iridium manager Yasin Dhala said they want to bring musicians of various genres to the venue and they are happy to host Peter.
