Gospel musician Pastor Lawrence Gunda, better known as Worshipper Larry in music circles, has collaborated with renowned South African gospel artist Minister Harry Kgomosotho on a remix of his song titled “Sithi Uyingcwele” (Anonzi Mutsvene).

The song which was recorded last month is already playing on some local radio stations and has made its debut last week on One Gospel channel on Dstv. In an interview with this puiblication, Pst Gunda said he was overwhelmed with reception of the song and is already working on another separate video for the same song.

“I am very pleased with the response we have received so far on the song. The live video is playing both in South Africa and Zimbabwe and we believe it will become popular in the region very soon. Initially I recorded the song in Shona then redid it this time in a new style.

“We are shooting another video for this song and it will be out very soon,” he said. The worship song describes the character of God as the one who is worthy of praise, is holy, a miracle worker, pace setter and destiny changer among his other abilities. The singer has also dropped another single “Zodzo” which draws inspiration from his personal life experiences.

“My new single is a testimony of how the anointing of the Holy Spirit has transformed my life over the years. The message encourages people to believe in the power of God which is able to change any situation one may be encountering in life,” said Gunda. Meanwhile he is working on an album due for release before this year and will stage several shows across the country and abroad.

“I have been releasing singles because I wanted to first establish my brand as Worshipper Larry Gunda not as the frontman of Gospel Power outfit. There are a number of shows lined up for my fans with most of them being in various ministries,” he said. In the past he released singles that include “Nyasha Dzakandiwana”, “Mbiri Kugwayana” and “Anesu” just to mention a few.

Gospel Power is a group that made noise in the millennium with hits songs such as “Tafura”, “Kana Zvamubata” and “Who is this Man”. The group then went into hibernation for a while and returned with a fresh single “Handiburuke” last year. The group has done four albums “Akubhekumusa”, “Kana Zvamubata”, “Achapindura” and “Kunyarara”.
