Why the graviola is a life saver

Miriam Nyasha Kwari Herbalist

Hello friends and welcome to this week’s edition of making your food, your medicine. Many friends have phoned to ask me how I got to be so keen on herbal medicines. I have in many times not said anything because it is a long story and this being a public paper, I did not want to seem like I was advertising myself and my herbal trade. However, I have been thinking about it and have decided to share that little private information briefly.

My son was diagnosed with cancer a few years back, and he is well and healthy now. Here is the background to help you understand why I speak graviola at the end of my articles.

Miriam Kwari is a teacher, turned professional herbalist. After college and university I never imagined that I would be an herbalist that I am today. I had to go through a traumatic family experience with cancer which affected my one and only son. He was diagnosed with (leukaemia/lymphoblastic lymphoma.) As if that was not enough, my mother was diagnosed a year later with meningioma — (a cancer of the brain).

God allows one to go to a hard place so that one learns to conquer and then help others. This is true of what happened to me and my family. We struggled for almost 2 years before we found an answer in conventional treatments in hospitals in Zimbabwe and India as well as herbs, mainly graviola. Today, my son and my mom are both well and living normal lives, even though my mom still has to monitor headaches.

I know that you are congratulating me and especially them for the spirit of fighting for life and believing in their potential to heal. It is said, “hope never dries up,”and yes, the journey was tough and at times, there was lots of fear, almost giving up. But, thanks to prayers, supportive conventional medical doctors, family and above all GOD, that today I am able to share my new found knowledge and celebrate with you.

Take this information along with you, share and use it to help others who are not well and for everyone to just adopt a healthy lifestyle. A very good professional medical friend of mine always says, “…we have to embrace a new way of life taking herbal infusions like the Japanese and the Chinese people do and not just take them when we have fallen sick…’’

I agree with this observation and it is the reason why I have put this little booklet together.

The infusions/teas mentioned herein, are preventative and curative in nature, nurturing our health. Like our nuns in the Catholic Church rightly say, “nature is the pharmacy.”

Where I come from, I participate in a local radio programme entitled, “MY WEALTH, MY HEALTH.” On this programme, my listeners and I call GRAVIOLA, “murapazvese’’ because it is indeed a wonderful herb that has healed many people suffering from different diseases.

You must be asking, how? Well, our bodies are made up of cells which grow and die naturally because of the food, air and water we drink. However, at times, there are some bad cell formations which then lead to disease from mainly our food, air and water intake and we fall ill.

I don’t know much there, only doctors and scientists will explain better. What I know is that graviola, when taken, teaches bad cells that may be in a system to remember to die and at the same time encouraging good cells to continue supporting our body functions, dying off when their work is done. In the same blood stream, antibodies are reminded by graviola to always remember to fight infections/diseases/ailments. That is why graviola is called murapazvese.

Graviola

When the body is not well, something would have weakened its natural defence system and its adaptation capacity. Graviola introduces into the blood stream the hormones, the trace minerals and the antiseptic agents which counteract all abnormalities. Graviola has universal healing properties received from nature.

It is important to remember that the principle malfunctions of the body are caused by:

  • impairment of blood circulation
  • exogenic attacks of bacteria and virus
  • digestive blockages
  • bad elimination of waste
  • damage in the organic structure
  • nervous deficiencies
  • psychic disturbances

Graviola harmonises or tunes up these various systems. The systems include:

  • the bone and joint system
  • the circulation system, for nourishment of blood and living tissues.
  • the lymphatic system, for waste removal from cells.
  • the respiratory system for oxygenation of blood
  • the digestive system where what we eat is processed.
  • the urinary system to ensure blood purification
  • the neuro psychic system where the various activities of the body are coordinated.

All the above are what is medically known as the ENDOCRINE SYSTEM. It is the protection system of the body. It is the defence mechanism of the body.

The endocrine system works with hormones that are secreted from the pituitary gland, the thyroid gland, the adrenal gland, the pancreas, the pineal gland, the thymus gland and the sex glands. Each of the glands works in harmony with the brain. But when disease sets in, the brain would have refused to assist and coordinate the body functions. Graviola is the solution that comes in to address the problems from the root or cause. In particular, graviola focuses on oxygenation, digestion, and elimination. It is important to remember that disease is a result of these three gone wrong, from most probably bad food, water, air, and also negative psychological issues.

From here, I hope that you have an idea how this medicine helped my son, my mom and other people who have beautiful testimonies about beating cancer, arthritis, diabetes, anaemia, blood pressure and other hosts of diseases with the use of graviola.

Remember we all die eventually, but there is more satisfaction in trying to fight for life especially when we fall sick. Graviola can be used concurrently with other herbal teas and conventional pharmaceutical drugs with no problems in most cases. It is important to take it carefully, religiously and as instructed. It is important to remember to go for medical checkups even as we use graviola and beginning to feel better so that our doctors help us to step down on the medications we would have been on.

There are other herbal teas that you will hear about that may have the same qualities as graviola. Well, you’re to use your discretion and as I said there is no harm in trying because what we are all after at the end of the day is good health. I talk about graviola mostly, and then about other herbal products because of my personal encounters, remember!!!

I strongly believe in the healing power of other herbal plants and that brings us to the reason why I have put together this whole list. It is all, in an effort for all of us to use them individually or in conjunction with each other. There is nothing that nature will not fix because nature creates it first, whether negative or positive. We are part of Mother-Nature and for that reason; we can go back to where we come from (plants) to heal. This is the reason why GOD created those plants in the first place.

Most importantly, listen to your body because it always has a way of giving you positive or negative feedback when you consume anything.

I believe we are what we eat. We eat to survive. We eat plants for food. We eat plants for healing. We eat plants to correct dysfunctional processes in our bodies because there is nothing that nature cannot fix.

Cancer is a condition where cells in a specific part of the body grow and reproduce uncontrollably. The cancerous cells can invade and destroy surrounding healthy tissue, including organs. Cancer sometimes begins in one part of the body before spreading to other areas. This process is known as metastasis. Spotting signs of cancer changes to your body’s normal processes or unusual, unexplained symptoms can sometimes be an early sign of cancer. Symptoms that need to be checked by a doctor include:

  • a lump that suddenly appears on your body unexplained bleeding
  • changes to your bowel habits But in many cases your symptoms will not be related to cancer and will be caused by other, non-cancerous health conditions.

Speak to a GP if you’ve noticed these changes and it’s lasted for 3 weeks or more:

  • tummy discomfort
  • blood in your poo
  • diarrhoea or constipation for no obvious reason
  • a feeling of not having fully emptied your bowels after going to the toilet
  • pain in your stomach or back passage (anus)
  • Coughing, chest pain and breathlessness
  • Contact a GP if you’ve had a cough for 3 weeks or more.
  • Symptoms such as shortness of breath or chest pain may also be a sign of a condition such as pneumonia. Speak to a GP straight away if you have these types of symptoms.
  • Lump in your breast
  • Speak to a GP if you notice a lump in your breast
  • Moles

Speak to a GP if you have a mole that:

  • changes shape or looks uneven changes colour, gets darker or has more than 2 colours
  • starts itching, crusting, flaking or bleeding
  • gets larger or more raised from the skin

Any of the above changes means there’s a chance you have malignant melanoma, a form of skin cancer.

Unexplained weight loss

You should also speak to a GP if you’ve lost a lot of weight over the last couple of months that cannot be explained by changes to your diet, exercise or stress. If you have a lump that’s rapidly increasing in size elsewhere on your body. There are many types of cancers and we will try and talk about good and healthy habits to help in the healing process while we are getting help from our doctors. It is very important to always be around those medical practitioners at all costs, and to use some complementary herbal health foods and teas. We will in the next few weeks look at some of the cancers mentioned below.

I hope that we all try and live naturally, using herbs….I hope that we will be able to have fun with herbs. …and above all, that GOD, through these plants and our FAITH IN HIM, will heal the sick.

AMEN.

Look after yourselves and each other and God bless.
