WARREN Hills will host the inaugural Andrew Makahamadze Foundation fundraising golf day on September 20.

The event is expected to be graced by several teams from different corporates who will take part to support the noble cause.

Tournament organising secretary, Girly Taodzera, said they wanted to raise at least $75 000 to support some of their charities under the foundation.

“We expect the tournament to attract several corporates and individuals as we seek to raise funds to support Patrick Sibanda who had an accident back in 2010 and is paralysed.

“The foundation is a charity branch to the Southerton Community Development Trust and caters for widows, vulnerable children as well as albinos.

“We are hoping to have a very successful inaugural launch and it will be an annual event from there on.

“There are a lot of challenges which people face and we try to eradicate them through such support,” said Taodzera.

To take part, the anchor sponsors will part with $10 000, the platinum sponsors will pay $5 000 and gold sponsors $3 000.
