ZIMBABWEAN professional golfer Scott Vincent finished his maiden Asian Tour International Series on a high note after he finished as the tournament’s highest-placed player on the order of merit standings.

The Zimbabwean finished at the top of the Asian Tour International Series Order of Merit standings and third on the Asian Tour Order of Merit.

Vincent closed the season by finishing tied for position 10 in the US$1.5 million BNI Indonesian Masters on Sunday to consolidate his pole position.

The 30-year-old star carded a final round of 70 to complement his opening rounds of 71, 70 and 67 to finish in a five-way tie for 10th place.

Sunday’s final tournament was won by Sarit Suwannarut from Thailand.

Vincent won two titles this season and made his major debut at the Open Championship as he made his presence felt in each tournament he took part in.

Vincent went into the Indonesian Masters holding the top spot on the International Series Order of Merit ahead of American Siwhan Kim.

While Vincent finished in the top 10 in the Indonesia Masters, Kim settled for a tie for 28th, allowing the Zimbabwean to claim the overall title and a place in the LIV Golf League for the 2023 season.

Vincent will now get an opportunity to brush shoulders with some of the biggest names in the game as he will be part of the LIV Golf League in 2023 when 48 players and 12 established team franchises will compete in a 14-tournament schedule.

The full slate of events is expected to expand LIV Golf’s global footprint across North and Latin Americas, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Europe.

In 2023, LIV Golf League players plan to compete in numerous International Series tournaments, bringing the world’s top players to locations in Asia and the Arab region and several new international destinations. Tournaments will be broadcast across the globe and showcase an international field of headline and next-generation talent for a worldwide audience.
