VENEZUELAN Vice Minister for Africa Yuri Pimentel has said Zimbabwe and Venezuela must team up to ward off aggression from countries that are resolute to bring instability and take control of the world’s perceived weaker nations.

Mr Pimentel met Acting President Kembo Mohadi in Harare yesterday and discussed a wide range of issues in which they concurred that the two countries were under siege from the West.

“We have had a very long relationship with Venezuela and we are going through the same political disturbances from US and the West,” said Acting President Mohadi.

He said the two deliberated on various issues, including bilateral relations.

“They are going to be meeting the Minister of Foreign Affairs (and International Trade) where they are going to craft some MoUs and strengthen our bilateral relations,” said Acting President Mohadi.

Mr Pimentel said the two countries shared a lot in common.

“Venezuelans and Zimbabweans are suffering the same kind of aggression and it is because of the same reasons where foreign countries try to control the resources of our countries,” said Mr Pimentel.
