The July 31 demonstrations being planned by selected opposition parties and their proxies in the civil society have been premised on corruption that is allegedly taking place in Government and related sectors.

But the build up to the day and coming into the matrix of Western embassies, which have been hostile to Zimbabwe for the past 20 years, shows us that the planned protests have nothing to do with corruption.

Indeed, this is a devious agenda by opposition forces to effect regime change thus removing a constitutionally elected Government.

The build up to the day has shown us that at the centre of the web are Western embassies, some churches and business people who want to subvert the will of the people.  Zanu PF won the harmonised elections held in 2018 and July 31 should be a day to celebrate (it marks exactly two years after the polls) rather than witnessing illegal demonstrations, which, as history has taught us, always turns out to be violent.

1. ED FIGHTING CORRUPTION

If anything is to go by, President Mnangagwa’s administration has been at the forefront of fighting corruption. The President himself is not corrupt. He has fired two Ministers from his Cabinet (Prisca Mupfumira and Obadiah Moyo) after they were accused of graft.

A director in his office Douglas Tapfuma is in prison after he was convicted of abuse of office. Several top Government officials are under probe, while those in some parastatals are also facing the music.

The President doesn’t protect anyone and he has started by cleansing those close to him and this does not mean thieves in the opposition parties principally MDC-Alliance are being spared. It’s a matter of time before chickens come home to roost.

2. STOP MESSING WITH THE NAME OF THE FIRST FAMILY

We have noted unrelenting attacks on the First Family. The President’s children have been labelled one way or the other on social media all with the sole purpose of tarnishing the First Family’s name.

As youths, we have seen only allegations with no one coming on board with tangible evidence. What has been circulated as evidence will be their pictures which mean nothing. Those children are clean and have done nothing wrong.

We implore anyone with evidence against them to present it to ZACC and thereafter make noise that no one has been arrested.

Remember, the President’s children are above 21 years and they are responsible for their actions. They are free to take part in the economy through various investments just like any other Zimbabwean.

What baffles us is that no one has brought evidence to show the companies they are involved in. Stop soiling the First Family’s name unnecessarily.

3. ANYONE WORKING WITH GOVERNMENT IS BRANDED CORRUPT

To the opposition forces, the United States and its Western allies anyone working with the Government is deemed corrupt. On this one they are acting like the brothers, while meddling in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation.

Any company or institution willing to work with the Government has been labelled corrupt. On the receiving end mostly are Zimbabwean business people and their companies.

To them, there is nothing good that can be done by Zimbabweans.  Zimbabweans, let us not be enemies unto ourselves. Local companies working with Government must be celebrated as they have their nation at heart not to be despised.

A good example is that of business magnet Kudakwashe Tagwirei. He is said to have bought mines across the country. Suppose he did, is there anything wrong with that. He is Zimbabwean and stays in Zimbabwe.

To the advantage of the nation is that most of the mines were closed, but are now functional. Thousands of jobs have been created along the line. As youths, we are the biggest beneficiaries of such employment opportunities. We must celebrate such acts especially by Zimbabweans.

The same Kudakwashe Tagwirei is said to have bought CBZ and shares were bought on the stock market, what wrong did he do? We are saying “it is said” because no one has presented company documents to show he is involved. The major issue is why can’t we celebrate our own?

Surprisingly, the white monopolies are being celebrated on a daily basis while we despise our own business people. For example, it is said ZED ZINONA KODOUNARIS bought four mines and Edgars, but no one is talking about it. When it is a white person or someone not Zimbabwean, no one speaks about it. To them, Black Zimbabweans working with the Government are corrupt, but whites and Indians are good Zimbabweans.

A check with the fiscal authorities will also show you that the companies which are getting most forex are white-owned. They are getting that forex at interbank rate and pricing their goods using the parallel market rate.

The white-owned companies make super profits running into millions of dollars, but at a time we are grappling with Covid-19 the companies are nowhere to be seen. Our own black successful businesspersons are the ones carrying the burden and what do they receive in the end . . . attacks, attacks and more attacks.

EcoCash was busy creating fictitious money and the Government moved in to solve the nefarious activity, but the silence from opposition forces and their Western embassies is deafening. No single comment came from these merchants of regime change who are doing this to incite young people to go into the streets, which is wrong.  As youths we must not be pushed by self -interests that have been exhibited by Western embassies through local activists to destroy our own heritage.

4. GOVT OFFICIALS LEAKING CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENTS

As youths we have discovered that senior Government officials are leaking confidential documents to enemies of Government. We know the culprits; they must be having their last supper. They have no evidence to warrant such actions. We are saying NO NO NO. SURPRISINGLY some of the documents leaked will be incomplete to suit a certain narrative. Why not leak the whole set of documents for the public to have a clear picture? Journalists are also being used to propagate this. They are just being paid to soil names of those pro-government.

There are also Zanu PF officials who after losing projects and contracts and go on to tarnish the names of those who would have prevailed. There are some of these technocrats who when they are not consulted then they start running to have teas with our enemies claiming corruption. We see you and your day of reckoning is coming. What about failed business people turned pastors turned false prophets of doom. Your doom is when you failed to run your company and now you are broke, you start singing for your supper in the name of religion.

As youths we have advocated for a free market and this is a free market. YOU ARE WELL KNOWN! If you have complaints go to ZACC.

5. CORRUPT PEOPLE ARE IN THE MDC

One cannot talk of corruption in Zimbabwe without mentioning MDC and their characters such as Tendai Biti. President Mnangagwa has been very much lenient with opposition political party members. In the public domain is the fact that MDC-Alliance vice president Tendai Biti was allegedly paid by Group Five close to US$5 million to ensure they secured a road construction deal. Now the country is in debt, while he lives lavishly at his UMWINSDALE house which he bought from the proceeds of that deal. He is able to pay US$30 000 annually per child for his kids at a Harare international school. What do you call that? If it’s not corruption, then we wonder!

The unrepentant Tendai Biti put money from AFREXIMBANK into Interfin Bank. The bank collapsed a few months later and went into liquidation and the government lost US$35 million from that deal.

One would ask where is he now? In Parliament representing people . . . Such people are celebrated as champions in the fight against corruption?

As if not enough, he also pushed for the signing of a sovereign guarantee, which left Zimbabwe US$400 million poor. That’s abuse of office and he deserves to be in prison. Instead of demonstrating against corruption at the city of Harare led by the Mayor Herbert Gomba, citizens are being dragged especially by those in the diaspora to jeer the so called fighters of corruption.

Gomba, who is currently in remand prison, has parcelled out upmarket housing and commercial stands to MDC Alliance top brass at the expense of you the young people who have joined the waiting list for years. This is real corruption that Zimbabweans must stand up against.

6 YOUTHS STAND UP AGAINST SUBVERSIVE MACHINATION
As youths we implore progressive minded Zimbabweans to shun such nefarious acts being planned for JULY 31. Please stay at home. We remind OUR ENEMIES THAT WE WILL DEFEND OUR SOVEREIGNTY, WE WILL DEFEND OUR 2018 ELECTION VICTORY AT ALL COSTS.
