Unite and help Zanu-PF to crushing victory: Chadzamira Cde Chadzamira

Zanu-PF structures in Masvingo have been urged to close ranks and work in unison to ensure the ruling party romps to an emphatic victory in the forthcoming harmonised elections slated for July.

Addressing Zanu-PF supporters during an inter-district meeting at Jerera Growth point recently, the ruling party’s Masvingo provincial chairman Cde Ezra Chadzamira said it was high time party cadres buried their differences ignited by last month’s closely contested primary elections.

Cde Chadzamira said all cadres should pull in the same direction and pave way for the Zanu-PF campaign juggernaut to roll-out campaigns under an atmosphere of peace and harmony.

He said divisions created by the outcome of last month’s primaries were not favourable to the quest for a crushing electoral victory in the coming harmonised elections.

“Let us put our differences aside and start seeking support from the generality of people across Masvingo Province so that we record a thunderous victory for our revolutionary party Zanu-PF and our presidential candidate President Mnangagwa,” he said.

“A house divided cannot stand, as a family (Zanu-PF) we have been rejuvenated by primary elections that we held late last month, we are now raring to go and get the big prize, which is a resounding victory for President Mnangagwa and Zanu-PF in the forthcoming elections,” he said.

The Zanu-PF Masvingo chairperson said there was nothing that will stop the ruling party from maintaining its stranglehold on the political landscape in the province.

Cde Chadzamira took a dig at the MDC-T and its alliance partners, saying the formations lacked policy depth as evidenced by their failure to produce a manifesto that resonates with the wishes of the majority of Zimbabweans.

“The truth is that, the MDC-T and its alliance partners do not have an ideology, they do not have a sound manifesto like ours (Zanu-PF).

“Zimbabweans want something that is realistic, not fake promises. Their alliance is just a battalion of regrouped university students, delinquent youths and trade unionists who seek to get into politics through a sewer pipe by lying to people,” said Cde Chadzamira.

“We even heard them (MDC Alliance) talking about bullet trains, which do not even respond to the day-to-day needs of the people of this country.”

He said the recently unveiled Zanu-PF manifesto has made the fight against corruption, re-engaging the international community, developing and growing the country’s economy through promoting foreign direct investment and job creation some of the key priorities of the ruling party’s Government if the party, as widely expected, wins the forthcoming elections.

“As Zanu-PF, we are busy oiling our campaigning tools and our manifesto is straightforward. We are not making fantasy promises, but realistic promises, which can be delivered. Zanu-PF is a well-oiled machine and is ready for victory,” said Cde Chadzamira.

Speaking at the same event, National Consultative Assembly (NCA) member and former Masvingo Provincial Governor Cde Willard Chiwewe also called for unity in the ruling party for the province to deliver a landslide victory for President Mnangagwa and the ruling party.

“Let us remain united and focus on wining the forthcoming polls, let’s go out there preaching the message that Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa is the only game in town and that is he is heading for a resounding electoral victory,” said Cde Chiwewe.

“Our youths should desist from being used in shallow politics and should bear in mind that elders need to be respected.

“Let us respect our President Cde Mnangagwa, who is a messenger from God,” he said.
