The Richard Kevin Rugube and Marjorie Fadziso Mutemererwa (RKR and MFM) Trust, a perennial donor to St Joseph’s House for Boys donated foodstuffs and stationery yesterday in Harare.

The St Joseph’s House for Boys is a Non-Governmental Organisation that offers education and financial support to orphaned, abandoned, abused, neglected and disadvantaged boys. In 2015 the St Joseph’s housed 52 children aged nine to twenty and currently the house has 39 children. RKR and MFM Trust has been donating to the house since 2015 with different foodstuffs and stationery.

Apart from the RKR and MFM donations, the house also received donations from other organizations such as ZOL Zimbabwe which has been supporting the home through providing an internet connection for access to information on the world wide web. Mr Muchono lauded the RKR and MFM Trust for its third donation and its continuous work towards the growth of the House.

“We really appreciate your gesture,” said Mr Muchono during the official handover ceremony.  RKR and MFM Trust Chair Ms Mutemererwa said after the death of her son, Richard Rugube, in 2011, developing the Trust to support other children has brought warmth in her life.

“In as much as I am here, I am also getting ministered too,” she said during the donation meeting at the St Joseph’s home. She also added, “The same passion that I had with my son is the same passion that I am seeing in your eyes (Mr Muchono) and the staff.”

Credit was given to the founder of the St Joseph’s House for Boys, the Board members and the staff for being honest to their work.
