Triumphant Warriors, who secured their third successive Afcon finals berth after edging Botswana 1-0 last night are scheduled to arrive back home tonight.

The Warriors will be part of the 24 teams at the 2021 Afcon final tournament in Cameroon next year after Perfect Chikwende’s first half goal delivered the three points for Zdravko Logarusic’s team.

Although there are restrictions in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Warriors are still expected to make a grand arrival when they land at the Robert Mugabe International Airport at around 20:55pm.

The team leaves Francistown this morning around 10:05am and will pull up at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa where they will have to wait for hours before connecting to Harare around 8pm.

The team will stay in a bio-secure bubble at a Harare hotel awaiting their final group game against Zambia at the National Sports Stadium on Monday night.

Head of delegation, Isaiah Mupfurutsa confirmed the details this morning.
