Local designers TIR Fashion House are upbeat about their participation at a fashion show in London recently. In a statement this week, Danielle Allen of TIR Fashion House said they presented their 2014 summer collection and were invited for another show next month. The much acclaimed Africa Fashion Week London 2014 fashion show, which took place at the West Hall Olympia Kensington on August 8 and 9.

“It was a flamboyant mixture of Western and African culture coming together through fashion with designers from all over the world,” said Danielle.

“We showcased our Summer 2014 Collection which included our signature sequencing and beading. The major trends this season were sheer fused with everything else from beading to crystals on fabrics that came in a variety of textures and patterns with a magnanimous use of uneven hem lines. There were several exhibitors, and side attractions at the fashion show displaying a dynamic array of the African fashion industry.”

AFWL has created a platform for African /African inspired designers to showcase their designs TIR Fashion House took the opportunity to put Zimbabwean fashion brand on the international map.

TIR Fashion House brand was established to provide beautifully created African designs at affordable prices. The brand prides itself on its unique designs, against the backdrop of low quality clothing and expensive brands flooding African markets from overseas.

The fashion house creates its unique designs using the “Ankara” fabric predominantly found in Western Africa. The designs are chic, trendy and often elaborately finished with embroidery, beads and lace. The TIR Fashion House designs are aimed at the fashion conscious, at the young at heart and at fashionistas who appreciate the value of quality.
