The Wire star Lance Reddick’s wife breaks silence after his sudden death at 60 Lance Reddick

Actor Lance Reddick, best known for his roles in The Wire and John Wick alongside Keanu Reeves, was found dead at his home in Studio City, Los Angeles on Friday morning.

Lance Reddick’s wife has spoken out after The Wire star’s shocking death at the age of 60.

The actor was found dead at the couple’s home in Studio City, Los Angeles on March 17. At this stage his cause of death remains unknown.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, his wife Stephanie Day broke her silence on the tragedy.

In a touching tribute, she wrote: “Lance was taken from us far too soon.”

She went on to thank friends, family and fans for all their support over the past few days.

“Thank you for all your overwhelming love, support and beautiful stories shared on these platforms over the last day. I see your messages and can’t begin to express how grateful I am to have them,” she penned.

Stephanie, who shares two children with Lance, also thanked Destiny 2 players who paid a special tribute to him following his death.

Lance voiced the character Commander Zavala in the popular video game series.

Signing off the heartfelt post, Stephanie said: “And to the thousands of Destiny players who played in special tribute to Lance, thank you. Lance loved you as much as he loved the game.”

She added donations in Lance’s memory could be made to momcares.org in his hometown of Baltimore.

The body of the star, best known for his roles in The Wire and John Wick, is said to have been found at his home on Friday morning.

Official post-mortem results are yet to be released, but it is thought he died of natural causes.

Lance was taking part in a press tour for the fourth instalment of popular franchise John Wick prior to his death.

In the days before he passed away, he unexpectedly pulled out of attending the premiere for Wick 4 in New York city. — mirror.co.uk.
