ENGLISH television personality Jeremy Clarkson and co-hosts – James May and Richard Hammond – captured the finest moments of their 22-year career complemented with a trailer of “The Grand Tour” while cruising in Zimbabwe.

The “Grand Tour” is a British motoring television series featuring Clarkson, Hammond, May and Andy Wilman created on November 18 2016.

It was made exclusively for Amazon and its online streaming service, Amazon Prime Video.

The episode shot in Zimbabwe is set to premiere on September 13 with the trio promising an emotional experience.

Clarkson was emotional as he recalled the Zimbabwean experience.

“I shall certainly miss doing this sort of thing,” he said.

In the teaser, the trio ignores instructions of Wilmun heading into Zimbabwe in a Triumph Stag, Lancia Montecarlo and a 3-litre Ford Capri 3.

The trio cruised through familiar territory and challenging landscapes, enjoying Zimbabwe’s warm hospitality as they shot in different locations across the nation.

They also filmed a police officer directing traffic while dancing to the rhythm of car engines.

Driving off, Clarkson acknowledges it has been a long journey and they have come to the end of the road.

“Zimbabwe, we really did save the best for last,” he said while calmly cruising through Birchenough Bridge.

As the show wrapped up, fans took to social media to share their feelings on their favourite TV show that had captivated them for some time.

Taking to social media, Leonard Maurana wrote: “A bittersweet moment, I have been following this crew since top gear, and for them to finally film in Zimbabwe it is just amazing and it could not end better.”

Another fan, Kerry Choga, posted: “My country is beautiful, the views are to die for.”

Maida Chibanda added: “Definitely saved the best for last! Zimbabwe, with all its thorns and roses, is beautiful!”

Another fan of the trio, Wayne Ollah Walter, said: “I still remember when they did the Botswana special and they were not permitted to film the Zimbabwean side, my heart broke into pieces.

“This time it’s a special tribute to my 22 years of watching these three now-old guys who shaped my childhood and introduced me to every sports car in my life. Thank you chaps you will always be my true heroes.”

The trailer has made headlines on various social media platforms with netizens seemingly gripped with euphoria and an anticipation of a great finale.
