An article posted on the web in November 2013 it has been pointed out that the US now has 49.7 million people in the “Poor” category and 80 percent of the total population is either near poverty or below the poverty line.

Hail President RG Mugabe for being the illustrious son of Africa that he is. He has shown not only Africa that Africa is not for taking but our former colonial masters too that Africa, in particular Zimbabwe will never be a vassal to foreigners.  Many here in Africa had been subjected to American propaganda to the extent that some even believe without question that democracy evolved in America and that America alone had the legal or even moral right to tell or instruct other weaker countries to import  American democracy.

The President did us proud by not attending the so called EU-Africa Summit.
The EU missed what RG was meant to tell them if the truth be told. If one looks at what is happening in the United States today, not through the “media”, which is a mere propaganda organ of the corporate Elite, but through the writings posted by thoughtful Americans on the internet, one can immediately notice what Professor Chossudovsky has repeatedly referred to as the “criminalisation” of the US state apparatus.

Surveillance of entire populations, the unbelievable arming to the teeth of domestic law enforcement agencies, brazen lying by highly responsible US officials and perpetual violation of the US constitution as well as international law, have become the hall marks of the domestic and international conduct of the Government of the US.

The United States has not only become a surveillance state in which privacy has evaporated as a result of the invasive surveillance of all digital life, but also a state which spies on foreign countries, including its allies, as exposed by Edward Snowden and many other whistle-blowers.

The shamelessness with which the Government of the United States and the corporate media “defend” the issue of domestic and foreign espionage is astonishing. When Snowden exposes the unconstitutional acts of the US Government he is dubbed a traitor!

The US government instead is training its citizens to survive by looting. This is what they have demonstrated as a country when they invade other countries for oil. Iraq and Libya are cases in point. They fell short of telling a lie that Robert Mugabe possessed weapons of terror! Lucky we have no oil in Zimbabwe, at least not crude oil!

In an article posted on the web in November 2013 it has been pointed out  that the US now has 49.7 million people in the “Poor” category and 80 percent of the total population is either near poverty or below the poverty line. The article states:

“If you live in the United States, there is a good chance that you are now living in poverty or near poverty. Nearly 50 million Americans, (49.7 Million), are living below the poverty line, with 80 percent of the entire US population living near poverty or below it. That near poverty statistic is perhaps more startling than the 50 million Americans below the poverty line, because it translates to a full 80 percent of the population struggling with joblessness, near-poverty or reliance on government assistance to help make ends meet.”

The article further quotes Sheldon Danziger, a University of Michigan economist: “The primary reason that poverty remains so high is that the benefits of a growing economy are no longer being shared by all workers as they were in the quarter century following the end of World War II.”

Michael Snyder has pointed out that anger is growing in America as unemployment benefits are cut. In an article that appeared on the internet on December 30, 2013 he wrote : “In America today, there are close to 50 million people living in poverty (Imagine the whole of South Africa in poverty ?) and there are more than 100 million people that get money from the federal government every month.  As the middle class disintegrates, poverty is climbing to unprecedented levels.”

This is coming from a country which boasts of  economic growth, democracy and good governance. From which page of their book of efficiency and democracy must one take notes ? Demonising Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe has been their major preoccupation ! Unbelievable ! What about their own misery in their back yard ?
This is the folly of believing in US propaganda.

Finally, where weapons of mass destruction finally found in Iraq ? So called War on Terror one Dr Barret had this to say:  The War on Terror is a profoundly dubious enterprise. He begins with the observation that Americans are thirty times more likely to die from lightning strikes, and ten times more likely to drown in their bathtubs, than to be killed by terrorists.
