Five years after sharing the stage with the late Oliver Mtukudzi at Montclair Hotel, Tariro NeGitare returns to the resort for another holiday dance with fans.

On Saturday, she is expected to serenade fans at the hotel as part of the long Independence and Easter holiday programme.

Many activities have been lined up for the long holiday at the hotel to entertain guests that usually throng the place in their numbers this time of the year.

Last year, the place was fully-booked and dancehall singer Winky D took people on a memorable joyride.

This year it will be an affair of female musicians as Tariro neGitare takes turns with gospel diva Janet Manyowa to entertain guests.

Manyowa is expected to perform on Friday and Saturday as she takes people through the worshipping spirit of the Easter holiday.

On Saturday afternoon an Easter Fair takes place at Clairmont Gold Course where families are expected to meet for various fun activities.

After the activities, people will have blessings from Manyowa before going into party mood with Tariro NeGitare.

Tariro NeGitare last performed at Montclair in 2014 when she was a supporting act for Mtukudzi.

The late superstar had an annual winter slot at the hotel and his last act last year was special. Tariro NeGitare said she will dedicate her performance to the late great singer.

“It will be a special occasion for me because I last visited the place with the late Tuku. I will dedicate my performance to him because he is the one who took me to that place for a memorable show. The show will evoke memories and it will be the best concert to salute our hero,” said Tariro NeGitare.

Manyowa also promised a memorable Easter holiday with music lovers.

“We are going to worship with people and we will ensure that we do our best. Easter is a time of worship and it will be great to be with people that are on holiday and thanking their Lord for another year of blessings. We are looking forward to a great show in Nyanga,” said Manyowa.

Organisers of the event said they have put everything in place for the holiday and they are hopeful everything will go according to plan.

“We have done the groundwork and we are now waiting for the event with expectations. We are happy because many people have shown interest in the events. We have so many fun activities lined up and we encourage more people to join us. It is likely to be a memorable event indeed. Our Easter Fair that will take place at Clairmont Golf Course close to the hotel will have many activities. We know it will be a memorable affair,” said Montclair spokesperson Busi Tutani.
