Musician Suluman Chimbetu has added another feather to his cap after he was recently named the National Business Council of Zimbabwe brand ambassador.
This means that the Dendera star will be the face of the organisation which seeks to “become the premium lobby group, think tank and capacity building and training institute” deriving its mandate from the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable  Socio-Economic Transformation more popularly known as Zim-Asset.

“We are excited as a group that Suluman is now the ambassador for the organisation and this is in line with his business approach,” Joe Nyamungoma, Suluman’s publicist said.

The NBCZ’s founding president Dr Keith Guzah said his organisation was honoured to have Suluman as its brand ambassador.

“He is going to assist the organisation in several initiatives. There are plans to donate books and stationary to the Tokwe-Mukorsi flood victims. We have noted that a lot of support that’s been given to the people in the area was mostly food and more food but we are saying let’s empower the school children through books,” Dr Guzah said.

Dr Guzah said The Orchestra Dendera Kings frontman is also expected to grace a symposium scheduled for April 14, 2014 in Harare.

“We are going to host a symposium where we have invited Youth Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Minister Francis Nhema who is going to discuss the benefits of informal traders that can be derived from the Zim -Asset. We have also roped in Deputy Minister of Economic Planning and Investment Promotion, Dr Samuel Undenge who is going to present a paper on economic challenges that need to be overcome by small to medium traders. Now you would ask why Suluman will attend the symposium it’s because he is the brand ambassador and also a businessman in his own right,” he said. Other members who sit on the NBCZ board include Zvikomborero Sibanda who is the vice president, William Chaitezvi  (Harare metropolitan chairman), Charles Mutisi (secretary general), Neville Mutsvangwa who is the national policy coordinator, Morgan Mutsau (CEO) and Belinda Munyeza who is the Diaspora coordinator.
