BARCELONA. – “I don’t know how I did it, but it went in,” said Luis Suarez at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night after Barcelona’s destruction of Arsenal in the Champions League soccer last 16 tie.

The goal he had just scored will probably win the Puskas award for goal of the year and the image of it will be a candidate for sports photograph of the year.

That picture captured the essence of Suarez, in a moment of brilliance, scoring the pick of the 43 goals he has managed so far this season. Both his feet are off the sodden Camp Nou turf, his right leg is outstretched like the barrel of rifle, the ball, the speeding bullet, is already almost out of shot.

His left leg is cocked back, his torso twisted revealing the number nine on his back and both are arms pumping, fists clenched, as every muscle strains to get maximum power in the shot. In the background Mohamed Elneny looks on with his right arm raised. – Mailonline.
