Step out into your dream

biblestoryDUNAMIS WITH BISHOP Dr MANJORO
YEARS back, at our church offices, one window frame came in and was put leaning on the wall of the then small office where we had church services. It was where everyone who came in; would see it.

I know that many people said a lot of things during that time about the window, and doors that began one by one to trip into the room. Many would wonder what it meant.

Why was the big window frame in the church office? It did not even fit on the then venue used for church meetings.
Friends, today I will share with you on the power of stepping into your dream. In the previous weeks we have been talking about decisions and forgetting yesterday to press toward destiny, but all that has to result in one thing ― stepping out, into your dream.

Sometimes in life it’s not difficult to make choices and decisions.
We all can decide to start businesses; decide to buy a property; decide to build a house; decide to get healing, a miracle or desired breakthrough.

We all can decide but Brother, deciding without action will bring nothing in life.
Deciding to have a supermarket, without even a name or action for the supermarket is a bad thing.

Plan and prepare all you can but step out. It’s the first step that makes all the difference in life.
It was the same with the four leprous men of 2 Kings 7:4 (If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit here we die also.

Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die) who made up their minds to go to the enemy’s camp.

They were just four unarmed, rejected and fingerless men who made up their minds and stepped out. It worked.
Matthew 14:27-31 ‘But straight away Jesus spake unto them, saying Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou; bid me come unto thee on the water.
And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?’

Another interesting story today is from the above scripture where we learn of Peter walking on water.
It all started when the disciples had sailed on the sea and left Jesus on a mountain in prayer.

However the wind was contrary to them and the ship in the middle of the sea began to be tossed. Just at that hour the disciples saw someone (Jesus) approaching the ship, walking on water.

They got very troubled and thought it was a ghost.
Jesus however quickly spoke to them and said, ‘It is I, be not afraid.’

Peter upon hearing that it was Jesus, asked to come on water if it were really Jesus.
He said to him ‘come.’ Others could have wondered what Peter was zealously doing and tried to discourage him but he said No, I will step out! Listen to me, if you are to get where God wants you to be, don’t listen to the contrary and discouraging things people say.

You could have applied for a certain job, yet your friends are telling you, ‘Haaa it’s not for you, you will never get that job.’
Don’t tell them next time. Just apply and believe God for the job. If you get a prayer from your pastor about the job just believe God.

O hallelujah, application plus prayer will produce a miracle for you. It’s not necessarily how educated you are because there are many people educated but struggling in life.

God and prayer will make a difference in your life.
That ‘Come’, empowered Peter and he began to walk on water looking to Jesus.

It’s that first step that you need in your life. It’s not enough to just have a dream and to desire or just believe, No. Act; step out into your dream.

There has to come a time when you take that first step. Believe the Word of God and act.
It was the same with the story I told you earlier about the big window put in our small room where we had church services.

God had spoken and told me that we were to build a church in Harare.
I believed the Word of God although it seemed impossible. But believing was not enough.

I had to step out. One by one we began to buy big windows and doors, heaping them in the then small room for church services!
The problem with many; is that they want to start big and already there in life.

No, just start where you are and with what you have. Glory to God, step by step, by the grace of God, we have long since, managed to build our current place of worship (The Cathedral of Faith which has a huge auditorium, and several modern features where people from all walks of life and backgrounds, across nations are coming to worship God.)

On the building today are the very windows and doors bought during that time as a step of faith in the small-roomed place used for church and offices.

O hallelujah. I challenge you today, STEP INTO YOUR DREAM!
When Peter took his eyes off Jesus and saw the threatening winds he feared and began to sink.

As you read this article I rebuke all form and manner of fear in your life right now in Jesus name.
Some of you, you could have started things in life but upon facing challenges began to speak negative and stepping back.

No, no, no brother! Opposition will always be there.
Why are you quickly giving up? Why surrendering too early and saying it’s over when it’s not over! No, no, no, I challenge you today ― stand on the Word of God. It’s not over until it’s over.

O hallelujah! When God says you will have it, you will have it; when He says you will do it, you will do it.
When he began to sink Peter quickly cried unto the one that had told him Come, and pleaded, ‘Lord, save me!’ he knew it was only Jesus that could help him.

Other disciples were in the boat but he did not call out to them. They could even have been saying ‘eee yah Peter we warned you!’

When things go wrong know who to run to; know who to cry to. Don’t call or knock on the wrong doors. God is able. God will do it.
Interestingly I wonder what kind of sinking of a grown man like Peter that would give him time to call for help whilst sinking.

Normally a man would just drown and vanish into the water.
This means Peter began to think he was sinking before he began to sink.

It was fear that gripped him, crippled his mind and began to make him sink.
In the ship, Phillip, Thaddeus and other disciples just looked on. But Peter knew who to run to and who to call for help.

Know where to call for help!
No-matter what you are going through in any area of your life right now, I challenge you this hour; run to Jesus.

Call unto him.
Jesus is able. Jesus can save, Jesus can heal. You could be suffering health-wise, or even emotionally, Jesus can heal you.

Friend, Jesus can heal your family; marriage; business and finances.
He can and is ready to heal you right now.

Look on Him and focus on Him.
Receive your healing, breakthrough and heart’s cry in Jesus name. Step into your dream. Mark 10:27, ‘For with God all things are possible!’
