Zanu-PF national chairman Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo has urged party youths to remain disciplined and respect party leaders.
He said they should also shun corrupt activities that might tarnish the image of the revolutionary party.“The youths have always been the vanguard of the revolution, so I urge you to be disciplined. If you don’t have discipline, don’t look up to leadership positions. It will not come,” said Ambassador Khaya Moyo.

“You must respect order, you must respect structures and you must respect your parents. We don’t want to hear about indiscipline.”

Ambassador Khaya Moyo was speaking at the launch of the US$2,4 billion Lasch Zanu-PF Joint Venture facility in Harare last Friday.

He said whatever positions the youths held, they were not for their benefit but for the people.

“So you must respect those people and if you don’t respect them, then surrender your positions. We want youths who are responsible,” he said.

The Minister of State for Harare Metropolitan Province Miriam Chikukwa, also urged the youths to be united.

“You are the vanguard of the party and you should be united for development to take place,” she said.

Last month, Ambassador Khaya Moyo urged Zanu-PF Youth League members to shun factionalism and work towards the success of Zim-Asset.

In his welcome remarks at the Zanu-PF Youth League conference, Ambassador Khaya Moyo said the wing should aim to fulfil the conference theme, “Zim-Asset: Growing the Economy for Youth Empowerment and Employment”.

He said that Zanu-PF’s various organs must work in unison to ensure the party progressed well.
