MARUME Classic men’s physique2018 champion Blessing Sithole hailed the level of competition he received from other athletes who took to the podium at the College of Music over the weekend. The 27-year-old Sithole managed to put aside the competition of pre-tournament favourite Tinotenda Ryan Gumbo, Genius Gwara and Tafadzwa Mikiya who came second, third and fourth respectively.

“I am very excited to have managed to defend my title I thank everyone who turned out to support me. I think this is all through hard work I was working tirelessly at Empire gym and its all result of the effort I put in. I have been preparing for the contest since the beginning of the year and I am happy for the organisers who put up a good show. “I also give credit to my sponsors Raw Sports and my coach Simba Mhaka and Garry Noble who worked tirelessly with me during preparations,” said Sithole.

Gideon Teguru won the senior men body building, getting the of Francis Chideme while Paul Bako won the men’s fitness open which had Marshal Mutemeri and Petros Mazhata taking second and third places.

Ngonidzashe Gwama was judged the best junior men bodybuilder beating Nigel Chiza and Darrel Makwasha.
