RODRECK MUTUMA, the self-styled “Prince of Football”, is back in the top-flight league after completing his switch to Premiership side Nichrut. Mutuma retreated to the Division One league with Chegutu Pirates early this year after he left Yadah Stars.

The 30-year-old had an unsuccessful stint with Bloemfontein Celtic in South Africa and has also played for Dynamos, Highlanders and CAPS United.

The Prince is joined at Nichrut by former DeMbare teammate Themba Ndlovu and they will be hoping to help coach John Nyikadzino’s fight against relegation.
Ndlovu joins from Mutare City Rovers.

Club chief executive, Admire Hapazari, confirmed the latest recruits.
“We have now signed Rodreck and Themba, we feel these players have the ability to add value to the team in the second half of the season.

“We have brought the players at the recommendation of our coach who had said he wants reinforcements to the team for the second half of the season which he feels will be more competitive.

“We are confident the players will add value to the team, they have vast experience in the Premier League and that can help us achieve our objective this season.

“Our objective this year is to survive relegation in our maiden year then we will be able to dream big next year,” said Hapazari.

The miners have scored a paltry 12 goals after 17 matches and have conceded 20 goals.
