BLACK Rhinos coach Herbert Maruwa is demanding consistence from his men when they host Chapungu this afternoon in a Castle Lager Premier League match at Rufaro.

The army side are coming from a 1-0 win over Bulawayo City in their previous game and have won two and lost three from the five games they have played. They opened their account on a losing note when they suffered a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Highlanders in the opening match of the 2018 season before they emerged victorious against ZPC Kariba.

They then lost two consecutive games before last week’s victory.

Maruwa yesterday underscored the importance for his side to build from that win.

“It’s a tricky game since we are both uniformed forces, we need to be at our best to get maximum points,’’ he said.

“We are demanding consistence, since we are coming from a win and we need to maintain the momentum so that we get positive results.

“I can say we need to keep reminding the boys that the league is like a marathon, we need to keep picking points, we don’t need to keep dropping points.’’

Rhinos welcome back defender Augustine Mbara, who missed their last game due to injury.

“We will be welcoming back Augustine Mbara, who is coming back from injury. He is a key member of the team, it’s a morale boost for the team.

“Like I said, we are demanding consistence, we need to keep working hard and pick points. We need to prepare for each game properly to pick points,’’ said Maruwa.

Chapungu coach Tendai Chikuni said a win this afternoon will go a long way in turning their season around.

“We really need three points so that the players start to have confidence. A win will release pressure on us, I think a win will boost the team’s confidence.

“We played against FC Platinum and lost that game. If you look at how we lost the game, we missed our chances.

“We had tried to work on the negatives during the week.

“We were working on our defence and attacking . . . it’s all about picking the negatives and positives, the positives you try to maintain and the negatives you try to work on,” said Chikuni.
