Preparations for the International Day of Cooperatives set for tomorrow in Bindura are at an advanced stage.

The concept for the celebration of the day is supported by the United Nations, and stakeholders in the cooperative movement are expected to participate at the event.

A number of cooperatives and companies are set to exhibit their products.

Speaking ahead of the celebrations, one of the corporate partners of the event, Nivlam Teilsel Financial Ventures represented by its chief investment officer Mr Malvin Chidzonga, said a lot had been done to make sure that participants derived value from the day.

“In collaboration with others such as the Zimbabwe National Cooperatives Federation, the Registrar of Cooperatives under the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Mr Thabani Shoko and his entire team, ZB Life, MJV Chartered Accountants, Disruptive Technologies, Sybyl, NetOne and other stakeholders, we are proud to be celebrating this day together with various progressive and well-organised cooperatives which are operating in various socio-economic sectors of our country, targeting many people,” he said.

Showcasing and marketing products at such events is important so that the society may be aware of cooperative’s operations.

“As a business organisation, we are happy to connect people with financial opportunities   and shining the spotlight on them, leveraging on an event of this magnitude,” said Mr Chidzonga.
